Our Current Situation...

Hello Everyone!

We apologize for our absence of updates,...but, it is hard to describe how crazy things have been!

Many of you have been asking us what we're doing, now that our time to move has officially come...so, here is the run down:

Lord willing by mid-week(*groan*,..tomorrow, please!), we will have everything pertaining to us, moved out of (what we now refer to as!) the "old" house. We ourselves, have not been staying at the house for the past week or so; but with most the adults of the house working during the day, getting everything moved out has proved to be a much longer process then hoped for :(

We are currently residing at some dear friends house while they are on vacation for a few weeks. The house (that we are temporarelly staying at) is only about fifteen minutes away from "the old house" which is very handy while we're moving stuff. =)

***Our dear friends also are letting us use their (good sized) shop to store our stuff temporarely, which has been such a blessing! Thus we are moving our things into the shop. LOL, not to mention our neighbors(from the "old house")let us put some things at their place, oh, and Mallory's boss..., and another friends shed! Can you imagine moving everything that belongs to a family of 11 1/4( hey JD, you still left some things behind!), but not having one place(e.g, a home!), to move it all too?!?? Well, this results in divvying it up! But, thanks to our gracious friends on vacation, we only have to divide the "things",...and not our family. ***

We are still searching for a home to move into (of course) which is not an easy task to say the least. So, if you see or hear of anything, or, if you want more specifics on what we need in a house(since, not just any ol' regular house built these days will do for us!), please feel free to email us!

We appreciate you!

Oh Boy...

Well Everyone, today is the "official day" of when we are supposed to move!

And, from what I can tell, it would take a miracle for us to be out of here before tonight!
Although it would be crazy madness trying to get the rest of everything packed before tonight, I know everyone would do it in a heartbeat! Seriously, we all can't wait to be in a better(meaning, clean, no mold!)house!

So, the next time you hear from us might be from a bench in a park, or when we show up at your house tonight sometime between 12:00 & 3:00 am! LOL, I'm just joking! ;P

If you think of us today, please pray...as I'm sure by tonight we'll probably be somewhere between the nut farm & insanityville! :D

Updates

We are "supposed" to be moved out of this house in one week...

Here is where we stand:

We haven't found somewhere else to live yet! Every time we think we may be getting close to something, it falls through. This is quite a journey in trust, reliance, vulnerability, and patience.
The last of which, by the way, has been running kind of short with some of us here this week! :P
It is just hard to function on a day-to-day basis, not having an idea of what may happen next.

I think the thing that is most frightening to my parents(and, myself!), is just knowing that someone else in the family could come down(well, I guess its more of a surfacing thing. Because probably we're allot more "sick"(immune system wise) then we can even "see" right now.)with something at any moment. And that is just scary. Why this has all happened, I may never fully...
But, what I do know for now is that we are sick(Sethers, especially!), and that this house is toxic, and that we cannot afford to outright buy another house to live in, and that we haven't in our searching been able to find anything that seems "right"(size, condition, price) to rent, and that I should stop writing before I get to blue :P

So Friends,...please pray for us, and please keep keeping your eyes, ears & hearts open, as will we! Because I have a feeling(ok, I know), that this week will fly by WAY to quickly!

Thanks, Friends!

Our Dream...

There is a song that says:

"There's a place for us,
Somewhere a place for us.
Peace and quiet and open air
Wait for us
Somewhere..."

Well, this might be a little sappy sounding, but the words to this song, in part, perfectly describe our family's dream farm.

In our vision for the "perfect" place for us to live, we see this;

A place with enough land to grow our own food; fruit trees, space for a huge organic garden, and enough pasture to grow our own organic meat!
Barns to house our milk cow(s), and also enough chickens for meat & plenty of eggs!
We love to home-can our own fruits and vegetables :)
Somewhere where we cannot only survive, but thrive!
All of our immune systems have suffered from living in a house with mold; and we believe the best way to get back to healthy living would be "open air", and healthy organic foods!

A house big enough for us to "live"; room for all of our instruments & music supplies, room for all our home school supplies, a kitchen big enough to handle the amount of dishes it takes for our family! A living room big enough for us to "live in", we love hanging out together!
Oh, and bathrooms! More then two would be a dream ;)

We aren't afraid to work hard. We've had some animals before(meat cow, pigs, lots of goats, chickens!), and we really miss them!
We love living in the country, its the best!

"There's a time for us,
Some day a time for us,
Time together with time to spare,...
...Someday!
Somewhere.
We'll find a new way of living,...
...Somewhere."

"A new way of living"; free from the incessant headaches, the frequent return of coughing & sniffles(reactions to the mold), bladder abnormalities, allergy's that we never had before(BAD cases of poison oak/ivy!), fear problems, unexplainable stomach pain, and who knows,...maybe even free from the juvenile arthritis and type 1 diabetes! We believe it is possible!

"We have a dream..." And that is to be able to function & live healthily, to be able to give a little more then we take; to be able to bless others with our time, energy & skills.
This is our dream, this is what we pray for. That we can serve others together; in a greater capacity then we ever have before.

Upside Down & Topsy Turvy!

The title of this post is pretty much a description of how things have been feeling around the Devine house for about the last two weeks! Because, as some of you have heard, we received an eviction notice from our landlord on Friday the 2nd. So, 30 days from reception of our letter, we are supposed to be packed up, and moved out. We have done this once before, moving in thirty days, but, that was a special case; we only ended up moving barely 2 miles away! Not too hard of a task :) But this time we really don't have a clue as to where we will be going,...at least not yet.
So this is just to get y'all a little update as to what we're up to right now ;) As some of you know, we have been looking for a different house to live in since we found out about Seth, but now we are REALLY into the whole house-hunting gig! Trying to clean & pack more as much as we can each day, though its pretty tough to do when we don't have an idea of what kind of space we'll be moving into! ;P
But, God is so good, and we are trying our best to just trust him with all the special details :)

We are so thankful for everyone who has already told us that they will keep their eyes & ears open for us, and that they are praying...we can use all the help we can get! Thank you so much.

And so, its back to work!

20 days & counting(down!)...

Problem with Paypal:

We have been informed, that our Paypal isn't working! Someone notified us that they had given, but it bounced back; has something to do with our account not being verified for this purpose. So, we are working on getting this fixed. But in the mean time, if you have tried to send us a love-gift, and it didn't seem to work, please feel free to contact us by email: always.foreverstrong@hotmail.com The Devine Kids

Thank you so much.

Blessings on your day!

An Important Note

It is a bit of a challenge to say this, so please forgive us if the following isn't very understandable.

Recently we got a tip from a DHS worker that the video we made (below) is dangerous and could lead to us kid being put into foster homes. Crazy, we know. So we have to pull the video very soon (as in the next 24 hours) from now to keep anything wild from happening to our family. We hoped (through the video) to show the impact that the mold has in our house and our lives and how important it is for us to get out of this house and into a home, yet at the same time make it clear that our parents and us cannot do it alone.
Things have not gotten any better since the last update and we are trying so hard to keep faith and hope in our being able to finally move to a stable and healthy home.
We hope to give you all a real update very soon. Please pray for us and this whole situation, we need it and would deeply appreciate it! God bless you.
